Sara Vettorello, born in Montebelluna in 1999, attended art high school in Montebelluna and Treviso, where she studied painting and sculpture. She then attended Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Printmaking and Drawing.
Sara has participated in several exhibitions, collaborating with the Incisori Contemporanei Association. In 2024, she was awarded the Bisonte Foundation’s scholarship, which allowed her to pursue a Specialization degree.
Since 2021, Sara has spent her summers working in a shepherd’s cottage on Monte Grappa, at 1450 meters above sea level, where she cares for animals and experiences the rhythms of mountain life. This experience has had a profound impact on her life and art.

working and volunteering experiences
summer seasons 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 Malga Val Dee Foje, Borso del Grappa (Italy) | During summer I worked as a waiter by an holiday farm, and if needed as chef assistant. This experience allow me to work in group and in touch with people. In addition I had the possibility to work with animals in nature and to learn the milk and cheese production techniques and learning how to milk cows.
It’s been an important and positive experience, and it gets the basis for my artistic research.

Artist in Residence at Künstlerbahnhof (Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg, Bad Kreuznach, Germany). Collaborates with artist Eros Bitto to investigate the theme of normalized violence. The research focuses on the sword as an idealized, heroic icon and meat as indispensable sustenance, aiming to ‘deconstruct’ these myths and stripping them of their traditional aura.
